City Bullies

I want to know how many people are or have been targeted by city inspectors. Who receives threatening letters in the mail stating code violations and the promise of fines or jail time? Have you gone to court, been fined or even gone to jail. Have you lost your home, property, car? Did you try to appeal to the city or the judge. Did you have a financial or physical hardship, did it make any difference in their decision making? I know there must be hundreds if not thousands around the country. I am gathering information about these incidents. Please share with me your experiences.
